Just to confirm that PCC is required for the last 10 years where you have stayed for 6 months or longer.

That said, if some was born and lived for 25 years in a country but he now left the country for more than 10 years he does not need to provide PCC for his home country.

Well, yes, that’s correct and that’s clearly written on the IRCC website. However an immigration officer working on your file might request a PCC even for the period earlier that 10 years ago if he/she thinks that would be necessary.
