  • That list is not being updated as new colleges are approved. There are many other colleges approved now that are not on that list including Conestoga.
I don't know if they will be able to release a copy of the approval letter or not but you can check with the Office of the Registrar to see if they will send you a copy of the approval letter incase you need it which you won't because no other students have because the list that is checked for travel is the government one that is being updated that we are on.

  • You can reach the Office of the Registrar Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at:

    519-748-5220, ext. 3656

IRCC recently announced that beginning October 20th, 2020, only students who are studying at schools on the Designated Learning Institutes (DLI) list with an approved COVID-19 Readiness Plan, will be able to travel to Canada for studies.

Conestoga has submitted a comprehensive COVID-19 readiness plan and is in the final stages of obtaining approval. We anticipate being added to the list in the very near future. Once Conestoga has received approval, the college will appear on the DLI list.

We recommend that students refrain from travel until Conestoga has been approved and our name appears on the DLI list.

The current list of approved Designated Learning Institutions can be found on the IRCC website. Be sure to monitor this website for updates.

Additionally, we will continue to provide updates as they become available. For more information regarding future travel restrictions, please visit the following link.

As the COVID-19 pandemic evolves, students should continue to monitor Conestoga COVID-19 Updates as well as their College email for current information.

Region of Waterloo Public Health has confirmed that an individual associated with the Conestoga - Doon Campus Child Care Centre recently tested positive for COVID-19. The individual is now self-isolating.

Yesterday ,the Conestoga Doon campus confirmed one case. Whether if Conestoga will not be approved for its Covid-19 readiness plan ?
