Talking about alberta.

the rules are set to change in june 2014. I agree.

mostly changes will be focussed on students from other provinces coming in here and applying for pr.

students who study in alberta will be eligible for direct pr nomination upon graduation.

Now this is not a small thing for the province.

They get a lot of revenue from intl students and this money is being put into the development of the province and in return they givr u pr and mostly all people would stay here and pay taxes ur whole life.

Look at the equilibrium - on one hand province is getting such a huge monetary benefit and they give u pr in return .

Kinda win win situation to develop this province.

SURE FOR THIS???? UPTIL NOW, for a 2 year course, rules were like after completion of 2 year course from the list of instituions mentioend under alberta PNP, we have to get a job offer under NOC category, only then we can apply for AINP

Now this is not a small thing for the province.

See friends, study in Quebec , then if you know French decently well then we can apply for PR from there itself. But otherwise we always get the three year work permit, once we get that . We can somehow have 1 year work experience , then apply for PR , also there is an option to get PR easily once we have a job offer with us. There is no quota for such applications.

I thank each and everyone out here who has put their opinions here.

As a Candidate, you must:

Clearly show in the application that you are able to and intend to live permanently in Alberta.
Be working full-time in Alberta, at the time of application, for an Alberta employer.
An Alberta employer is defined as, being incorporated or registered by or under an act of the legislature of a province or the Parliament of Canada and operating as a business that has an established production capability, plant or place of business in Alberta.
Please note, the AINP will not approve an application if there is a labour dispute in progress that may involve, directly or indirectly, either the employer or the candidate.
Have obtained a certificate, diploma, degree, or have completed a graduate level program from one of these AINP approved Alberta public and private post-secondary institutions.
The program of study in Alberta must have been at least one year (i.e. minimum of two semesters of full-time study, or equivalent) in duration.
Have a current and valid Post-Graduation Work Permit issued by Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
Be working in one of the following National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill levels:
NOC 0: Management occupations
NOC A: Occupations that usually require university education
NOC B: Occupations that usually require college education
NOC C: Occupations that usually require specific training and/or secondary education.
Some occupations are not eligible for consideration under the AINP. Please review the list of ineligible occupations (list updated October 31, 2013). If your occupation is on this list, you are not eligible to apply to the AINP under this category.
If working in a NOC C occupation, you must submit official test results showing that you meet the minimum language standards, and your test results cannot be more than two years old at the time of application to the AINP. The only official test results that the AINP will accept are listed below, along with the minimum language standards. If you do not have test results or your test results are more than two years old, go to the Language Test Centre section of the AINP website for up-to-date information on testing availability:
A CELPIP (Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program) General Test with minimum scores of
Listening: 2H
Reading: 2H
Writing: 2H
Speaking: 2H
An IELTS (International English Language Testing System) General Test with minimum scores of
Listening: 4.5
Reading: 3.5
Writing: 4
Speaking: 4
A TEF (Test d’Évaluation de Français) with minimum scores of:
Listening: 145
Reading: 121
Writing: 181
Speaking: 181

Supervisors, foremen and tradespeople working in a Compulsory or Optional Trade in Alberta (including Chefs, Cooks and Line Cooks) must apply under the Strategic Recruitment Stream Compulsory and Optional Trades Category.

all u need to do is a program in alberta at the moment which is minimum 8 months (2 sems).

Thanks propain,
I have gone through this earlier, but I was assuming that all the consitions listed above must be satisfied together, for a candidate to be eligible for AINP. Please correct me if my understanding is wrong. Thats why I was assuming, that after completion of say 2 years Masters course, I should have a valid job offer in NOC Category from Alberta employer, Only then I can file for AINP.

I am not sure if it is any field or specifically related to one;s own field.. Cudn't find it written nywhere..
But yes, it has to be in " Be working in one of the following National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill levels:
NOC 0: Management occupations
NOC A: Occupations that usually require university education
NOC B: Occupations that usually require college education
NOC C: Occupations that usually require specific training and/or secondary education."
