Concerns about additional/support documents request

:eek:Guys and Girls,
I received an email from CIC last month, it is like this:
"This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada as a member of the Canadian Experience Class.
Your application and all of the documents you submitted in support of it have been reviewed and it appears that you may not meet the requirements for immigration to Canada.
Specifically, I have concerns with the Employment letter from XXXXXXX. which you have provided in support of your application.
The Letter of employment is undated and therefore the dates of employment cannot be confirmed."

I went to HR and requested a dated one and sent them within a week, and now I heard nothing back yet. It's been 2 weeks since they received the documents.

My concerns are:
1, do they always wording like this serious? or this is their template to write emails? Or it means something?
2, Will it delay my application a lot?

Does anyone experienced the same problem and went through it? Please share your experience and timeline with me.

Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS: my application was sent on Jan 2014, supporting documents was required on July 28th by email, and I sent them within a week.

I don't want to scare you, but mine was rejected (first time) because I could not provide a detailed reference letter. My rejection email was very clear and stated that decision to reject has been made. But in your case, VO appears to be considerate and is using "may" in statement, if you have sent an updated letter (with all details), you should be good. Have your fingers crossed.

WOW,
You did scared me dear friend!
So did you mean you received the rejection letter directly without asking you to explain or send supporting staff?

Yes, it is serious, and it is more or less a template that they follow.

Or it means something?
Don't quite get the question. But at the very least, it means there was a problem with your letter of employment not having a date at the top, and that you got lucky in that the VO is giving you a chance to correct it. Not everyone gets this second chance, VOs are not obligated to give it.

2, Will it delay my application a lot?
Likely, it will cause a small delay. But that doesn't mean there aren't other sources or causes of delay.

Thanks all, and I just want to update some info that maybe helpful for others who experienced the same.
I just got ME today, and it is about 1 month since I got the email for asking the supporting document and 2 weeks after CIC received my mail.

Good luck all!
