Yes, this is what I mean. Some lucky couples get PPR in 3 months but I will say average for US outland is about 5 months. We have a huge space of time between filing and getting sponsor approval (just over two months) and then between the file transfer and getting PPR (another two and a half months). And we were still within the six-month window for American applicants.

The background check started soon after the file transfer to Ottawa, around the middle of March. We got DM June 3 and PPR June 13.

It could have started. They just don't update consistentlyI passed the medical exam 9 business days ago. I just thought by now it would have been started

How are they not reliable? You would think for something this important they would be reliableRelaaaaaaax. The online updates are NOT reliable. I know someone who got visa pickup request and then things went into process a couple days later. It's all over the map and not consistent.
