No need to worry. Just give some time and you will get a reply. It takes 2-3 weeks to get a reply. If you do not hear back in a week, then send the emails again. In your emails do mention that you had requested Sydney, which was granted, but since you are not travelling to Australia anymore, you would like it to be changed back to Ottawa so that there is no confusion.

@legalfalcon I sent another email with the subject line urgent to both Sydney email and Ottawa email address, it has been 4 days now and I have not heard. the 30-day clock expires this weekend and I am not sure what i can do and afraid I will be losing my PPR and have to resubmit again all over. I tried my best calling the General Consulate in Sydney several times but was unsuccessful in getting a person to assist. Can you tell me if I am overreacting or if there is anything I can do besides waiting?
