Hello!

If I apply for jan 2019 for pg and the course is of 8 months.( program duration: jan 10 - aug11) Is it regarded as 1 year of study ? And then if I again enroll in another pg of 8 months starting from (Jan2020 - August 2020) so during that time I will have gaps from (aug 2019 - dec 2019) before my another program starts. So will I be eligible to get 3 years of PGWP?

Thank you.

but why are you going for jan intake for 2nd pg course. Go for september intake. You can apply before 4 months of your 1st pg course before completion.
like....... your course starts on Jan 10 so you can apply for 2nd pg course on april or may or june any of your choice and when you apply for 2nd course for september intake get the application letter and immediately apply for study permit extension. so there will be no gap

Whether a course is determined to be one year or not would be reliant on how the college classifies the course and states the duration in your completion/ graduation. So you need to check with the college to get a specific answer given the rules specifically require 2x1 year courses so any answer on here would be speculation about 8 month duration courses

Be aware there are specific rules about working between courses

So, I won’t be having any breaks then. If I study continuously I will be completing my course in 16 months and will it be regarded as 2 years of study? And will I get 3 years of PWGP?
