Comprehensive Security Screening Delaying the Approval Process

If anyone's parents are also in the process of undergoing comprehensive security screening, please share your experience and reach out to connect. Myself and a group of 50+ PGP applicants (from 2019-2023 cohorts) have our parents stuck in the process, some over 1-2 years now.

Note I was not referring to a regular Background Check, but rather files being sent to partners (CSIS/CBSA) for review. This information can be found via ATIP VO's notes.

Everyone undergoes comprehensive security screening for outland sponsorships. Files will always be sent to cbsa and csis. I’m not to sure what they actually check for during the security screening though that makes it so some people take months and years.
