Hi all,

Two good news - no.1 just got OINP nomination today (600 points then ITA 100% this month if I accept it). no.2 found out that my wife is pregnant for 7 weeks (due day expected to be February 18).

I just read through the forum and learned that if my wife doesn't go through x-ray for her medical, CIC will put my application on hold until the x-ray report is produced, presumably after child-birth. However, my IELTS will expire in February 18 as well.

Question: Would I need to take another IELTS to keep it myself eligible or once I submit my application (despite being on hold by CIC because of my wife's to-be-completed x-ray), my current IELTS scores are sealed?

After receiving the ITA it doesn't really matter even if your IELTS expires.

You should call the panel physician and confirm whether an x-ray is needed for her.

You are wrong. IELTS result must be valid when you submit your PR application. If the IELTS score expires after ITA but before you submit your application then the application will be rejected.

You can get X-ray for your pregnant wife, while making appointment for medicals just ask the panel physician if they have lead apron for your pregnant wife. If they don't have one, check with another panel physician who carries out X-ray with lead apron for pregnant ladies.
