Complex Case

Hey,

My first post here. I would like some help to assess my situation.
After graduating I was given a PGWP. I started working full time on July/2016 in a NOC C job (although I was using three languages daily, it was a Customer Service Job). In October/2016 I started in a second part-time job, NOC B. So I have been working 50+ hours since October. In January/2017 I left my customer service full-time job, and started in another full-time NOC B job. So right now I have two jobs NOC B, one full-time and another part time. I will have 1,560 hours soon.
To make it more visual:
NOC C full-time job since July/2016
NOC B part-time job since October/2016
NOC B full-time job since January/2017

So I have two questions:
1) The fact that my NOC C job required 3 languages makes it a skilled job?
2) In your opinion, when will I be able to apply - July, October, January, or as soon as I complete 1,560 hours?

Thank you for your feedback!

Even though u used three languages the Noc C job would not help you in anyway

2) In your opinion, when will I be able to apply - July, October, January, or as soon as I complete 1,560 hours?

Should be end of October 2017

1. No, his/her NOC B job was part time from from Oct/16 to January/17 So s/he would have to add up the hours and divide by 30 to determine how many full time weeks worked. Those weeks would be added to the present full time job to determine when s/he has the equivalent to 12 months skilled work. E.g. If it was 15 hours per week part time, then it is the equivalent to 1.5 months full time. So s/he would require an additional 10.5 months of full time work from January 17th to be eligible for 1 year of skilled work.

No. It is NOC C, and it (unfortunately) does not count. Do not include it in your profile.

2) In your opinion, when will I be able to apply - July, October, January, or as soon as I complete 1,560 hours?

You need to add up the hours from your part-time job, but only before you started your other full-time job in January 2017.

Remember that part-time is defined as fewer than 30 hours per week. (If your hours varied, you can only count a maximum of 30 hours per week.) Then divide by 30 - that will give you the number of weeks of full-time equivalent work.

When you work full-time, you do not count hours - it is simply "full-time." That means that it doesn't matter if you work 30, 40 or 80 hours in a week - it is just one full-time week. So if you work a full-time job + a part-time job, it does not add to or "speed up" your eligibility.

But without knowing how many part-time hours you worked, or the exact date you started your new full-time job, we cannot give you an exact answer.

Thank you for all your replies.

So my part-time job started October 1st and the contract stipulates 15-20 hours/week. My full-time job started January 30th.

Thanks again!

So my part-time job started October 1st and the contract stipulates 15-20 hours/week. My full-time job started January 30th.
So, I counted 18 weeks between Oct 1 and Jan 30.
To calculate the FTE: 18 * 15 hours per week / 30 = 9 weeks FTE.

If you wanted credit for more hours, then you will have to prove the hours actually worked (e.g. though paystubs, timesheets, etc.).

So for your current job, after this week you've worked two full weeks, giving you a total of 11 weeks of experience - Only 41 weeks to go : )
