Completed Medical Exam but not updated on ECAS-Join here

Hello All,

I am starting this topic to bring together those who have completed the medical exam but do not see this reflected in ECAS.

I have completed the ME on May 25 but I don't see an update on ECAS yet.

I did my upfront medicals on April 17, doctor's office say they uploaded on April 22. Sent the emed info sheet to CPC-O. Got MR on May 7, resent emed info sheet. Still no response or acknowledgement or change in ECAS. Ordered GCMS notes, probably will get them on July 10.

The Dr confirmed that the results were uploaded first week of June, but still no updates what so ever

I thought about the cause and it came to my mind that maybe CIC might have asked for additional tests. Now, given that they send the additional medical exam request via regular mail ( and not email) there is a chance that the mail is lost. So I approached my dr and asked them to check if there is a request for additional exam and they confirmed that there isn't.

I really don't know what to do other than.....

I also thought the same but Doctor's office confirmed they haven't received anything and my MR reports are normal.. :-[

Hi khorshed5101, me and my family also completed our medicals by end of May and the doctor sent the result to eMedical on 9th June. Until now there's no update on our ECAS. No MEDICAL RECEIVED update. I sent 3 emails already to the VO but no response.

No medical furtherance so it's really difficult to know what's going on with our application.

Please keep us all posted when you get updates in your application.

OK guys just to let you know about my experience.

I completed my exam and then waited for ECAS to reflect the 'Medical has been received'! My mailing address was my lawyers office, and my home address well it was my home address. After 4 weeks I followed up with them via email and they said if you don't hear from us it means we don't need anything from your side. By this time they have already sent a second medical request to my home address and since I do everything online and usually the letters I get are promotions I don't pay much attention to my home mailbox, so I missed it and after almost 10 days after the follow up I opened my mails and saw the request which was dated 2 weeks before my follow up vie email. So pay attention to these stuff.

What bugged me the most was that they didn't tell me that they have sent a second request to my home address when I followed up with them via email and actually asked them if they have requested anything and if I have missed any requests! They neither did contact my doctor, nor did mail it to my mailing address. I was lucky to get that mail. And as soon as I opened it, booked for a second exam, a week after ECAS showed Medicals received and a week after Decision made and a week after PPR.

Just wanted to share my little experience.

My situation was a bit strange and I don't think you are in a similar situation.

I did the exam at the end of May and I knew that I was fine in all aspect (I am a little over careful when it comes to my health to a limit where I do extensive exams twice a year and they have been all normal). The doctor uploaded the results in early June and they confirmed that everything was good and there was no update after that.

I sent an email to CIC asking them to acknowledge that they have received my results but they didn't respond.

A week later, I got a surprise from CIC............They asked me to do medicals (as if I didn't do anything). They sent me a new e-mail with a new IME form and number.

At that point, I was thinking that I could argue with them and tell them that I have already done the exam, but I thought that this would only delay my process so I did the exam again.

The doctor uploaded the results of the new medical exam on a Friday, on the Tuesday after (4 days later) my ECAS showed that medical has been received.


This was my situation and I am not sure what has happened but I am glad that my ECAS shows medical received.

From my search of the forum, I noticed that the following could cause delay in updating the ECAS with medicals:
1) Furtherance of medical exam --> similar to Rezafc's case
2) Further review of medicals by the RMO (Regional Medical Office) --> where the medical exam reveals that there is a small issue that doesn't need further tests, but still needs a confirmation that it is not something that could become serious.


By the way, I am not an expert on any of this but this is what I have seen happening and I might be 100% wrong in my analysis.

Hi, I did my medical upfront and sent to Cic on Sep17; till then no update. Status says," if you need medical... We will contact you", also sent the e-medical paper via email, 35 days passed ; no reply. Any idea???

Hi,

Mine is also the same case with my baby's medicals.

We got furtherance letter once. For that we had to got specialist appolibtment for which we waited 3 months .And we did the tests and Dr. Sent them.
Again we got furtherance letter requesting more tests...Dr. said the reports were normal...Dont know what these cic guys are finding in the results.

Meanwhile I need to go back to India as my project ends..do not know to proceed with further medical tests and PR process.

Need more suggestions.
