Hello, I have competed 730 days continuous days inside Canada yesterday since my last entry. I dont have a single absence during this period. Can I submit PR card renewal application right away or wait more time? I was 5 months short when I arrived back in Canada in 2020 and had a valid PR card at that time. Was let in after secondary. Now well settled here, working, bought a house, paid taxes and made investments.

I have to travel out for a short trip in October and would need PR card at that time.

I'd wait another 20 days to have a buffer.. just to be on the safe side. It is 60 days processing time at present https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...vices/application/check-processing-times.html

Definitely suggest waiting.

As generously mentioned by @dpenabill in a separate thread created in this forum, a new form was introduced late last week, combining PR card renewals and those seeking PRTD. Suffice it to say that they're still working to update the instruction guide that needs some work.
