Company acquistion happened - reference and offer letter are different

Hey Seniors,

I am sitting with another confusion. One of company UP2 Solutions was acquired by IB Technology. Now my offer, joining, letter sits with UP2 Solutions where as my Relieving letter/Reference letter is on IB Tech letter head. They did give me a letter during 1st July that mentioned that I have been transferred from, but it was too basic for my LIKING at the moment. It is creating a lot of doubts. Below is the content of the letter.

Even though the letter is on IB Tech's letter head. It doesn't state from which company I was transferred. Plus, it doesn't state the reason why I was transferred (e.g., as part of recent acquisitions). Though, getting a new letter from them is a mission, do you guys think I should try to get new document or this will more than enough?

Dear Mr. Gaurav Sharma,

This is to inform you that you have been transferred to Indiabulls Technology Solutions Limited with effect from 01 July,2012.

Your compensation terms will remain same & will be as per the policy of Indiabulls. All other terms and conditions of employment

I have same problem too. One of my past companies got acquired and my reference letter has acquirer company's letter head where as my all other documents such as Experience letter, Relieving Letter, Salary Slips etc has acquiree company's letter head.

I am planning to put a LOE for the same, as the acquisition was public news for verification! Not sure anything else can be done?

Is there some public record of the acquisition, such as a Press Release on the company's website? I would think including that plus the LoE would be sufficient.

I'm sure there would have been an internal communication by your previous employer stating company X is being acquired by company Y and you will be on company Y payroll henceforth. Attach same along with LoE. Alternatively, look for authentic public announcement for same and specify same along. Good Luck!!

My existing company wasn't that big so can't find any public announcement. The announcements in the company were verbal through a speech, and later an e-mail was sent with this information as Mentioned in my question above. apart from that Salary Slips were changed to different company from next month, I can show that.

Ask the person writing the work experience letter to add something like this: "The company formerly known as UP2 Solutions no longer bears that name as it was acquired by IB Technology".

Though, I have been thinking. Offer letter is just a supporting document, If I don't upload it with documents. Just upload my Responsibility letter, along with 3 salary slips. I will keep offer letter and salary slips, in case, visa officer requests for the document.

Keep in mind that whatever documents supporting your work experience you upload, they must also state the number of work hours per week.

I do have that in my reference letter. This is how my letter is structured.

This is to certify that [name] worked full time (40 hours/week) in our organization as Technical Lead in the SA Business Unit from May 16th 2011 to April 14th 2014. He joined our organization as a Senior Software Developer on May 16th, 2011 and was promoted to a Technical Lead in on August 27th 2013. At the time of leaving the organization on April 14th 2014 he was working as a Technical Lead in South Africa Business Unit. The department dealt with Software Development practices. His last drawn salary was ZAR [Salary] with additional benefits, including air fare, medical insurance cover for spouse and kids, travel allowance, and accommodation allowance.

As a Senior Software Engineer, from 16th May 2011 to 27th August 2013, he was held responsible for following:

As a Technical Lead, from 27th August 2013 to 14th April 2014, he was held responsible for following:

So, If I don't submit any offer or joining letter with it. Just submit this with salary slips, I don't even need to mention acquisition stuff. Though, I will get myself ready for the questions in the mean time.

No need for offer and joining letter. You should also indicate the whole experience was paid one, so if by 3 salary slips you mean 3 annual salary slips for the 3 years you worked at the company, then you are good to go.

By 3 salary slips, I was thinking to upload last 3. Just to support the responsibility letter. Submitting all can be confusing.

Can't I change something in my content above to mention that whole experience was a paid one. Though, I am thinking that should be quite obvious, specially coz I already have 5 years of exp before this company.

It is obvious, you are right, but when it comes to CIC, I would rather make it "clear beyond a shadow of a doubt" then "obvious". You can certainly mention it in the employment letter.
