Communist Youth League of China ?!!! (Any Chinese Applicant Here?!!! SOS!!!!)

Guys I need emergent advise on this.

I got ITA recently and working on my EE forms. In the personal history, it says :"List any organizations XX has supported, been a member of or been associated with at any time. Include any political, social, youth or student organization, trade unions and professional associations. "

I have been a member of the Communist Youth League of China since probably elementary school, but I have practically done nothing with the organization. It's like everybody is "forced"/"supposed" to join this (stupid) league.

Do I have to mention this? Or can I ignore it?

Please advise!

Yes, you should always answer all questions honestly and truthfully. Remember the Visa Office is more likely to reward honesty rather than non-disclosure.

but the thing is i never did anything with this organization. It's like a very unique situation with China. I dont even know how to explain this to those who are not a member of this stupid thing.

Anybody (Chinese) had experience with this?

I'm sure IRCC is aware of the situation in China. I think you should provide the information and then provide an LOE to explain your position.

I didn't find any question about youth organisation.

Has CIC changed the form for EE candidates?

Have you received an ITA? I didnt see it when i was just creating my EE profile to get into the pool, but once you got invited to apply, it will ask you more detailed questions, and this is one of them.

in Personal Activities under Personal History:

"Provide the details of XXX's personal history in the last ten years (or since his/her 18th birthday if this was less than ten years ago).

That I am part of the organization that I never have anything to do with? LOL!!!!!

Just declare it is compulsory for Chinese nationals and that you did not actively participate in any manner nor do you subscribe to its beliefs.

There is your letter of explanation.

If you'd rather just not declare it, that's really up to you.
