Hello ! I'm so sorry if these questions are silly but I just want to be sure.
We sent our common law application in on March 2nd, and it was recieved that week. I have yet to receive any notices about processing or if there are any problems. Is that normal ? I know the pandemic might be slowing things down.
Also my partner is on a IEC work visa (from UK) which expires August 25 2020, we did not send in another application as this one still had 5 months. If he does not have his PR do we need to apply for another one before it expires ? And if he does need to can he continue to work while waiting for an approved work permit?
Final question ! We are moving to a new home next month. As I've not recieved the info to link the application online, how would I change my address for the application?

AORs usually take about 6 to 9 weeks, due to covid it is taking a while longer so be patient

Have you included an open work permit application with the sponsorship application?if you did not then you will have to apply to change his status to visitor approximately 30 days before his status expires.


And you can send a webform to IRCC regarding your adress change

Yes, it's normal.

If you applied inland, you should have included the OWP app with the PR app. He can still apply https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/notices/open-work-permit-pilot-extension.html. If you applied outland, no OWP.

Yes, he can continue to work on Implied Status.

Send a Webform once you have a file number.

We did not include an application as he still had a valid work visa. Is he able to apply for a work visa at a later date (ie 30 days before the one he has expired) ?
Also I did see the webform but I don't have the application number as they haven't started processing, so I'm assuming I'll have to wait for that but I'm worried we will receive something in the mail after we have left.

PR apps do NOT give Implied Status. He must actually apply for a work permit.
