My situation as of now is a bit weird. So, I am an American who has been here for 3 months now. I am aloud to stay until April. But due to age, I have not been able to sign on my girlfriends lease until April. As result, I have been residing with her mother but me and my girlfriend are together all the time, as she can't break her lease. Anyhow, since I turn of age in April, I will be able to sign into her lease then.

I have a few questions about this now
1: I will be financially supported by her, her family, and my family. Together they have plenty to support me, including my girlfriends fully paid schooling/tuition. When I apply, can I use this to show financial support?
2: Is it likely I would be rejected due to age? I am doing online college and I have a lot of family in the US so I have some ties

I can't use her family's funds/ her funds/ my parents even though they are the ones supporting me? I have been here in Canada a few times and they have helped the whole time. This being said my girlfriend has her housing fully paid. Food/utilities are easily covered. I can show pay stubs and other things from her family/ my family

You have probably started around 7 or 8 threads about applying for an extension. I suggest you reread the responses you have already received before starting a new thread asking the same thing.

So I have gotten different answers, are you allowed to used your gf/bf's funds and their families income to show necessary funds for stayingif they are helping to provide for you?

No.

Unless you are their dependant then no (legal dependant). CIC wants to see you are fully capable of affording the stay.

Open a bank account and have them deposit money in there. I would recommend at least 2k per month for the extension. On top of that you can include tihrd party funds.

There is no definite answer. Some might be optimistic and say that you can do it, the vast majority will think otherwise.

It really depends on your specifics, on how well your story is backed up with proper documentation and the mood of the CIC officer evaluating your file.

We have seen tons of rejected applications that made the mistake of assuming that other people sponsoring them was enough to waive personal funds (this is the expected outcome in such scenarios). In the other hand, every once in a while someone with third party support gets approved. Who can tell why or how? Just the officer who evaluated their application.

Certainly you will have to try and see how good your application was.

Good luck.

Ok I understand, I am providing my parents pay stubs and they are including a letter that they will be helping support my stay. My partner gets her schooling/housing fully paid by her native group, so I will show that the housing will be completely paid, and I will include her parents pay stubs as a bonus. Is having the housing paid proof a good way to show the funds? Thank you

To add this extension is to become Common law, also to double check, you can ask for a year extension correct?
