We’re also a July 2019 same-sex couple. We submitted 2018-2019 lease agreement, CRA returns, driver license and Ontario ID cards for both PA and sponsor, tenant insurance, credit card statements, and police certificate showing home address for the PA. We also signed the common law affidavit form. We included letters from friends and family testifying that we have been living together for a year, but these were not notarized so maybe they didn’t do much.

I hope that helps!
The letters from family and friends don't need to be notarized; having them notarized is just an expensive thing that isn't necessary :)

Hey, assuming you sent in more information, what format did you use to send it? I needed to do the same and I just used the form from the link in the letter but my girlfriend and I were wondering if we should be mailing in documents instead/as well? Thanks to anyone who knows!

I submitted them through a webform. It's way faster (IRCC call center agents have told me that it takes 10 business days for them to receive the information). I photocopied everything, merged everything into a pdf file, and sent it through the link they provide. The webform also allows you to explain what it is you are submitting, so you can quote the letter that you received. Good luck!

Hi @mf2040,
We both have bank statements (separate accounts), pay slips, amazon receipts, etc. So include anything that shows that we both have the same address covering that time period?
I see that you ended up receiving your PR, congrats! Would you please be able to help me in explaining what documents you ended up submitting when IRCC asked for more proof of cohabitation? I am in a similar position and would like to know what extra documents would help my folder.
Thank you very much

Hello! Yes I did fortunately get PR.

I re-submitted things I had already included (rental agreement, joint bank account documentation, phone bills, tax declarations)
I also included that we were both beneficiaries in each other’s health insurance, and letters from landlords that corroborated that we lived together in the same address for the period that was required. Good luck!!

Thanks so much for your prompt response.
Were the health insurance/joint bank account documents dated on the same day as when you started living together/ the leases? Thanks so much again.
