They would assess the relationship portion sometime during the 2nd stage of processing at outland visa office. It's entirely up to the visa officer what timing you would see.

Canada treats opposite-sex and same-sex the same, so there should not be any difference in processing time due to this.

I am gonna apply inland so are they still giving application to overseas to check on my separate time? I cut my vacation down to 2 weeks only but still feel unsafe somehow . Have you experienced same situation like me before? Sorry i am being annoyed by that short vacation and 12 month common law thing , it drives me crazy

No an inland app is done entirely in Canada. They are severely backlogged for inland apps though so they probably won't even start looking at the relationship portion for at least a year. Stage 1 alone for inland is up to 17 months.

A 2 week vacation is fine, there will be no issues with qualifying for common-law.
