Hello,
My partner and I have moved in together recently and we are slowly trying to prepare for the sponsorship process. Based on the "Checklist, forms and instructions" page on the IRCC website, in addition to all the general forms everyone needs to fill out, I found out that I, the principal applicant, need to provide additional documents from my country, S. Korea. The website states:
Korea (Republic of) – Instruction(s) for documents
If the principal applicant holds a passport from this country, they must submit:
- A copy and certified translation of the “Family Relation Certificate” issued within six months of the date of application.
- A copy and a certified translation of your “Marriage Relation Certificate”.
I can provide a "Family Relation Certificate" when I request it from the Korean embassy, however, I am not sure exactly why or how I can provide a "Marriage Relation Certificate" when I will be applying through a common law pathway. Does anyone have any experience similar to this? Any insight would be much appreciated
Thanks
