Hi everyone, I submitted my Pr application (common law) in August and got AOR in September. Until now, I still haven't received a biometrics request. Is this normal? I heard everyone say that they received the biometrics requests 1 month after they submitted them or even right after they got AOR. I am so nervous if there is something wrong with my application. Is there anyone who submitted in August and has received anything new yet?
I appreciate your help. hope you guys have a great day

Hi. Did you link your PR application on your cgkey or register on the tracker? you can see if the biometrics stage is in progress or not even started there. You can also check the trend here in Aug tab: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/192sbvjd4vJsEWY_B7w5DgFKBmIPNYo6TjlVWAk-xxxA/edit#gid=1154618179

Do you know how long does it take to get medical exam request after BIL? Cuz I'm planning to travel for 2 months, but I'm not sure when it will be even though it is case by case.
Also, I just wanna confirm, I did my medical request in 2020 to apply for Study Permit, I have been staying in Canada for 3 years, do I need to redo my medical exam?! Thank you so much

Hi. I can't say for sure when you will get the medical exam request. The medical exam you did before should reflect on your PR application too, if I am correct. I did my medical exam for the visitor record and I sent a web form with my ME#, and the next day, the medical exam on PR was shown as completed. I believe IRCC also updates the medical without us letting them know as well so I am not sure if it is a coincidence.

Thanks so much for your answer. You are much helpful than my consultant lol. Okay so it shows on PR tracker that Medical Exam “Not Started”. Cuz I'm planning to travel, I'm just worried while I'm in the middle of different countries, they request the medical exam. That's why I'm planning when should I travel. I really appreciate your help.

You do have 30 days from the day they send you the request and if in case you can't complete it, you can let them know. And I've seen people who applied inland and maybe went out for a month or so, doing their biometrics and medical in that country. As long as IRCC accepts the institution that did your medical, it doesn't have to be in Canada.
