Common-law proof

Hello everybody,

I have a question regarding common-law proofs. I am living with my partner from 3 years. And i have all the tenancy agreements and utitlities on our joint name. But from last three months, we are sharing a room in a house and we do not have any tenancy agreement and utilities on our name. But with bank lettes, insurance letters have our updated address. My landlord is not writing us a letter that we stay there because in return she want us to sign a long term contract with her, which we do not want to do. But some of our neighbours are happy to give us notarised letters to say that.

Please somebody suggest that will it be sufficient?

In theory, you can use other means: joint bank statements, telephone bills, recent photos.

I would also assume your bank registered with your address, so you have bank statements coming in for you and your partner, you can use them.

You can also provide Stat. Declarations from your house-mates (i assume you share with other people) who can confirm that you are staying in one room - I've seen this case before.

Yes I have bank statement and other letters on new address. But no flatmates as the landlady is the second flatmate and she is not giving the letter. Got bank statement and other letter and photos but no utility bills for last 3 months. But the neighbours are happy to give us a reference letter. Will that do?
