Hi,
I'm soon to be approaching at the end of this month the date to which myself and my Canadian girl friend have been living together for a year. And have been getting the required documents in place to be sent off with the common law PR application, my medical, both UK and Canada police certificates, 8 photos, girl friends option c print out, photo copy of her passport, completion of the forms etc.
With the proof of the common law relationship and us living together l'm worried that we don't have enough evidence. We spent the past year living in her mothers house so don't have any regular monthly bills in our name just the odd bill or things like our driving licences showing us at the same address and payslips though l only started working last November so only have slips from November to June not the entire year.
Since June we have had a mortgage along with life insurance together on another house, but due to loosing my job when my IEC work permit ran out and bad advise from a immigration lawyer with regards to me falsely having implied status, we have been forced to rent the property out.
Additional evidence l have is photos of the two of us together, flights from when l first flew to start living with her in Canada, flights from when we both went to the UK to visit my family back in April, join bank account in both our names, phone/facebook message history, letters of support from her parents and a friend who is in the local government stating our relationship is genuine and that we have lived together for the past year.
Any advice if this would be good enough for the application or what else l could do with be great, l feel at the moment it just not enough proof to prove a solid 12 months living together as common law partners.
Thanks, Alex
