seeking some advice!

My canadian partner is looking to sponsor me as a common law partner. We have been together for 3 years and would have been living together for a year in 2 months time which is when we will apply...

We have a 1 year lease from the landlord and a statement from him with the date etc of the 1 year lease agreement, however I did not change my phone bill or bank statement addresses until 4 months later.

we also adopted a cat around this time (2 months into living together) and we have utility bills joint bank account all 6 months old on each others names on the same address.

We have multiple other forms of evidence as in mail (but again later on as I didn’t change my address) birthday cards, photos, trip receipts, rent payments, photos with each other family when they came to visit, social media messages and relationship status, txt messages, phone calls, basically lots of evidence to prove the relationship.

My question is, is a rental agreement for 12 months showing with have lived together (along with probing the relationship) strong enough prove co proof with the missing 2 months for bills, bank statements etc?

Thanks for all help and advice in advance :)

I can give you some info about mine and my partner's experience.
We have been together 5 yrs when we applied in November 2023. We had been living together for about 2.5 yrs.
We showed our driver's license, joint bank account and individual phone bills with the address. My partner was never on the lease agreement, so could not show that. We only showed 1 month of our phone bill.
We did have a very detailed list of shared expenses (financial support) spanning the 2.5 yrs.... So maybe that gave enough context we are living together.
My partner got PR last month.
Now it could vary agent to agent and what they see as proof.

Save yourselves trouble, get married, and apply as soon as you have the marriage certificate. Your proofs will be excellent relationship support evidence and marriage certificate removes the legal question entirely.
