Hi,

I would like to ask about common law. I am in a common law partnership for 3 years in our home country and we apply together under
the provincial nominee. then in canada we ended in seperation. It is purely in a relationship, we declared it a common law
but there's no property that both of us are attached together or even in documents, theres no name of us together. Means physically we are in a relationship and considered common law. But in documentation that proves it, there's none.

It's like verbally we are in a relationship, not documented.

My question is, What documents do i need to provide from my common law seperation? because im planning to sponsor my husband, under the spousal sponsorship.

Please advice, thank you so much.

CIC asks if you have been in a common law relationship provide the following details for you previous spouse/common law . name type of relationship and the dates from when till the end. I had to do this being married before and sponsoring my new husband.
