Hey guys...
So I have two lease agreements, one with my partners mother whom let us stay for free, and a proper one with a land lord. My question is... BOTH of them do NOT have any witnesses...do we need witnesses for lease? I am in Ontario. Can someone please help out ?? I tried to google it but couldn't find any answers about Ontario alone... There is no spousal consent (landlords) nor brokerage either.. Just wanna make sure my lease agreements are legal.. The docs are signed by landlord and my partner and I.

Witnesses are not required for leases, they are not court documents. As long as the signatures of the landlord and the lessees are present, that is sufficient.

Phew! That really scared me. Thank you so much! I'm assuming brokerage and landlord spouse part is also not required then.

Again, thank you !!!
