I do not mind. We are just trying to survive paying bilss , mortgage and etc suppor eachother. Sexuality is not important. Eveybody has different preferences and point of views.

If sexuality wasn’t important he would not have needed asylum.

You don't mind committing immigration fraud? That is what it is if you try to be sponsored when you aren't in a relationship. The other very real possibility is that IRCC decides the relationship IS real and he therefore committed immigration fraud in his refugee app; they will revoke his status and deport him.

Unfortunately this isn't the case when your partner claimed refugee status for being gay and is now claiming a common law heterosexual relationship. There will be an investigation for fraud, and he could even lose his PR.

In this case, he applied for refugee status because of his sexuality, so yes, it does matter. He will most likely be investigated for fraud.

Situations like committing fraud to get your PR is what makes it that much harder for those who do everything by the book, lawfully.

So you are saying that you two share bills, mortgage and support each other as friends...
Because common law relationship doesn't mean that. It has to be a marriage like relationship which in most cases involve sexual relationship.

I think this sounds like you are just trying to use the living situation to apply for common law. I don't think this will work since he applied and got his PR as being gay. And your living situation was the same since 2016. As he didn't (and likely cannot) added you as a common law partner back then before he got his PR, you cannot be sponsored by him forever.

As others have commented, he may risk loosing his own PR because of misrepresentation.
