Hey team!

So - I just received an e-mail from CPC-O, regarding my partner and I's permanent residence application. He is American, I am Canadian.

CPC-O is asking for 2 things:

1) A missing form (IM5409)
2) A scan of my partner's biodata passport page

Question for you guys - we already submitted a scan of his biodata passport page when we sent in the application. Did we scan the wrong page? We scanned the first page of his american passport, with his picture, and all of his data/info...

Did we send in the wrong scan the first time? Should I call CIC or just fax them the scan ASAP?

Thanks so much for any advice!!

Could be the scan wasn't clear or they want to make sure it hasn't been updated? But usually they ask for a submission of the copy of the bio passport page when they're ready to issue the COPR

This might be so exciting!

They said they have completed the initial assessment of his application, and they are waiving an interview.

Does this mean we are near the end?!

They request the passport copy again just to make sure that nothing has changed and he/she is still holding the same passport.

If they said they waived the interview, then I would be expecting your PR shortly.

Thanks so much!

Well, they said expect to finalize our application with no interview, but have the right to request one if they feel necessary.

Does that mean the same thing?!

Who knows. Unfortunately you have to wait and see. If they've reviewed your application, and requested a resubmission of the passport bio page, that usually means that they're close to issuing PR.
