Hi All,

Thank you so much for helping me from the past. I have prepared all my documents, and I am going to submit everything tomorrow.

Some questions:

1, Since it is my first time, I am wondering should I just go straight to Canada post and bring all my documents? Should I bring some container?

2, Is there different options of shipping?

3, Since I am submitting outland application for common law, this is the correct address right?

Spouses, common-law or conjugal partner and dependent children:
CPC Mississauga
P.O. Box 3000, Station A
Mississauga, ON
L5A 4N6

4, after submitting, what is the next step?

Sorry if I asked too much! I am both excited and super nervous.

Have a nice day!!!

1. You should first purchase an expanding envelope or something similar to place all your forms and documents into.
2. You can either send by post to the address you posted or you can also send by courier to the following address
Courier address (no public drop-offs)
2 Robert Speck Parkway,
Suite 300
Mississauga, ON
L4Z 1H8
3. See above
4. The next step is to wait

I'd like to add that you should definitely purchase some sort of tracking and signature confirmation. If you're shipping with Canada Post, Regular Parcel comes with tracking and delivery confirmation and takes up to 9 days, but a signature confirmation costs extra. Xpresspost comes with 2 day shipping and tracking, but a signature still costs extra. Priority comes with both tracking and a signature and "Next Day" shipping.

I had my application and documents in three envelopes and then I bought a Large size box at Canada Post to ship my three envelopes in. They tape up the box for you too.
I think Xpresspost is the best way in my opinion and like Decoy24601 mentioned, you do need to pay extra for a signature, but I think it is worth it for peace of mind. Mine cost around $18. I also ended up getting a refund for the $18 because they failed to ship within the 2 days. :)
I guess Priority would be the fastest, but not sure how much that costs.

Best Wishes!!

Hi,

Am I wrong if I put everything into the box? Or should I put everything onto different envelopes then box?

A lot of us put the documents in three different folders or envelopes.

1. Principal Applicant application & supporting documents.
2. Sponsor's application & supporting documents.
3. Proof of relationship documents & photos.
Label the envelopes as such.
Then you can put those three envelopes in a box to ship.
It seems to be a little more organized with the different envelopes.
