Just a few questions about the sponsorship application

1. We officially became common law couple (lived together for a year) yesterday. In the sponsorship application it asks when the relationship started... Do I put when we started living together, when we first started dating or when we officially became a common law couple?

2. We're applying outland but one of the questions asks if I am sponsoring someone in the family class or a member of the spouse common law partner in Canada class. Should I be checking the yes box even though we're applying outland?

3. My girlfriend and I live together here in Canada but what do we put for the address where the person you are sponsoring lives? and for her mailing address? I thought we have to put that her living address is in Holland but her mailing address is here in Canada?

Thanks for your help!

Do not put when you officially became a common law couple! Put the date when you started living together. Whenever you have extra info that might be important, you can attach a separate sheet of paper to the form and explain. You could add an explanation that you started dating on ____, and then started living together on ____. The definition of common law changes according to the government department, so don't even mention the 'official' part. The question you are referring to is right after the one that asks for the date you got married, so the date you started living together is the equivalent for a common-law couple.

What form is this question on? If it says "____ in Canada class", you should check 'no' because you are applying outland.
3. My girlfriend and I live together here in Canada but what do we put for the address where the person you are sponsoring lives? and for her mailing address? I thought we have to put that her living address is in Holland but her mailing address is here in Canada?
Is she a visitor in Canada but got an extension? Or was she admitted for a year at the beginning, perhaps as a student?
Technically, if it is an outland application, you should put a residential address in Holland and a mailing address in Canada. But some people on this forum have put the address in Canada where they actually were living as their residential address for an outland app, and were accepted. Especially since you must prove you are living together for common-law applications, I would put the address in Canada as her residential address. You can always attach an explanation. Make sure they understand that whatever her visa status may be, she is in fact living with you in Canada at ___ address.

Yes I believe if she is living with you in Canada then you would put the mailing and residential as such.
