Came to Canada as Visitor in 2008

My Partner
Canadian resident

Our situation,
We live together in Mexico for 1 year, after that I came to Canada as Visitor in 2008, extended my stay, got accepted. My common-in-law partner and me started the inland sponsorship process in 2009 and just days ago received a negative response. The reasons, we dont have enough proof that is a genuine relashionship although we submit a bunch of proof, lease receip, pic, bank accounts, letters etc...
When we started the procces I apply for an Open Work permit. My Question is, Now that the sponsor was denied Do I have to leave the day stated in this letter (I was told to leave by 45 days) or until my OWP expired (it expired in Dec 2011)?.

What should I do now?
Please, any advised would make my life better.

You should leave on time. Don't delay or create further problems. Apply outland from where you live. Better to get married (is there any reason why you can't?). It may be hard to provide proof of genuine common law relationship while you both are living apart. Good luck

Did you have an interview? Or at any point did they request more information?

You have to leave by the date in the letter.

There's no right of appeal for inland applications, so that avenue isn't available to you. I agree with Oil Sand Guy that your best bet is probably to get married, return to Mexico by the date required in the letter, and start the outland sponsorship process through Mexico City.

Make sure that even getting married doesn't guarantee the Permanent Residency any more. Make sure you load up your application with proofs, and support. Your application will be assessed more carefully and strictly now
