Hello everybody,
Actually one of my friend came to Canada for September 2019 intake last year and before that he completed his first year of studies in India from our university's India campus (University of the Fraser valley has a campus in Chandigarh India). Now, he is almost done with two full time semesters here in Canada so, he was thinking of going back to India to do 3 more full time semesters in India campus and come back to complete his last two full time semesters in Canada. We just want to confirm that whether this will effect the PGWP process or not, we asked from the university's International department and they gave us no clear answer. Points to noted are:
1 UFV India campus do not have a DLI number.
2 After coming back he will have 4 full time semesters in Canada but with one full year gap between them.

Thanks.

He has to be a full-time student at the Canadian campus. Only breaks should be scheduled breaks.

But he will have 4 full time semesters in Canada and will not stop studying means he will not have any break in between because he will be studying in India too?

His time in India will not count and the one year break is not a scheduled break. He would not qualify for PGWP. I have concerns whether he would actually qualify for PGWP because he did the first 2 semesters at the satellite campus in India which does not qualify for PGWP. Not sure why he thought he could study in India at that satellite campus In the first place. Is he doing a 4 year bachelors program?

To qualify for PGWP you have to be a full-time student at a a Canadian school and attend a Canadian campus and only take breaks during scheduled breaks for all students.
