Hi everybody,

I actually live at Lille in France, I've the project to come to the Canada (Québec) for working.
I am currently a developer with 1 year of experience, and I plan to look for a job to come to Canada in early 2022.

I want to come with my partner, who wants to resume studies on site in 3D animation for video games, the problem is that I must have had trouble finding on the internet what the steps are to come to 2.

For my part, I need to apply for a work visa and find an employer, but does my partner have to find a school before leaving? There isn't sponsorship system to facilitate the procedures and entry into Quebec ?
The goal is that I work in an IT firm in software development (python), and she will resume her studies and a student job.

thank you in advance for your help !

Je peux ecrire tout ca en Francais si besoin, mais au cas ou je vais ecrire ca en Anglais:

Hi, I recommend you take a look at this link first:

http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/fr/index.html

and maybe post in the Quebec section of this forum or/and the temporary section:

https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/forums/foreign-workers.10/

https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/forums/quebec-immigration.55/

Sorry I am unfamiliar with Quebec immigration, you'll need to determine if you want to move temporarily or try to move more permanently and see which path would work best for you. I know there are some factors that should help you like being fluent in French, maybe even being a French citizen but again, I know very little about Quebec immigration.

For your partner, it will depend a bit of the status, married, common law (if you have lived in a relationship, together in the same place for a year or more) or other at this point, i.e. not living together).

Je parle anglais et français sans problème, j'ai écrit ça en Anglais puisque la majorité des posts le sont ! Je vais continuer au cas où le post pourrait aider d'autres personnes.

The initial project is to be able to work there for the long term and to settle there. My field of work being very research it is a great opportunity.
At the beginning I wanted to do a PVT which has a very good advantage as a French, but is very uncertain about the selection and doesn't allow to resume studies (for my partner).
I am a common-law partner, we have been living together for a while but we aren't married.

The work visa seems the only solution, the application for permanent residence seems to be for those who are already in the territory...
