Combined CELPIP Score

Guys
I appeared twice in CELPIP test in last 10 months. I scored well in 3 except writing in 1st one and scored well in 3 except speaking in 2nd one. No w, if I combine these 2 results i qualify in all 4 categories, I don't find anywhere in CIC saying it has to be all in one go.

Can anyone give some insight into this??

Sorry to say but You cant combine you scores from all test. Try to get it in one shot.

I agree with Goku, unfortunately language scores cannot be combined.

I haven't seen it officially stated that language test results can't be combined. But it makes more sense than the alternative.

They want to know that you are currently proficient in all four language abilities. If your most recent language test results show that you have inadequate speaking skills, then the results of any previous test do not matter.

According to the CEC instruction guide: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5609ETOC.asp

All applications must be accompanied by the results of the principal applicant's English or French language proficiency assessment from a testing agency designated by CIC for the CEC in order to be considered eligible for processing.

I am confused by the CEC instruction guide. It says "all applicants", so should my wife also needs to take the language test?

I undersatnd what you mean. But I couldn't find anywhere in CIC website, that, I have to score minimum in 4 categoroes in one shot....

Do U happened to see a link ....

Is it written somewhere on CIC website or OP25a that they will accept combine score of CELPIP ?? It they do then they would have written it somewhere. So its better to submit one certificate because if you send them 3 certificates then they consider latest one.

It have to be approved all 4 categories in a single test, you can't try to mix different tests as they are going to take only the last test results. If you wan't to think other way and try sending two combined results, you can do it, but you are only wasting time and money as it is going to be rejected

I don't understand how U guys are so sanguine about the rejection while there is nothing mentioned in CIC.
Anybody here in this forum got their application rejected bcoz of this reason, I want to know from such people only.....N

"Sanguine"? What are you trying to prove?

I assume the CIC help line did not give you a guarantee that sending combined CELPIP test scores would work.

At any rate, you'll find out soon enough - since OB554 (November 8, 2013) language test results are assessed at CIO, so if your results are not sufficient they will just return your application before AOR, and you can get your application fee back.

You do realize that the CIC helpline is inconsistent, right ? if you call them again you will get a different answer.

If CIO does return your application, or worst case, it is returned after review by a VO months after submission, you will have to put together the entire application again.

In any case, it is your decision to make.
