Hello Folks.
I am posting my question in this sub-topic as my visa office is Colombo.

I wish I knew of this forum before submitting my application. I appreciate the valuable information you are sharing.

I need to submit this info on my behalf as a sponsor: change of passport info (renewed recently) and employment change (retired from full time employment). CIC does state that one should notify key changes relating to the application.

I need to submit these additional documents/info on behalf of the main applicant, proactively to avoid delays: Sri Lanka police certificate, schedule A info since 18 years of age (have already submitted for last 10 years), Copy of Sri Lanka National Identification card.

Background:
This is a spousal sponsorship.
app received by cic 2016/01/27
AOR1 received March 8
SA received March 10

On ECAS: both sponsor side and applicant side shows "In Process"

On the sponsor side......"in process" and the next related screen on the sponsor side:
1. We received your application to sponsor xxxxxx on Jan 27, 2016
2. We sent you confirmation acknowledging receipt of appl on March 8
3. We started processing your appl on March 7

On the applicant side......"in process" and the next related screen on the applicant side:

1. We received xxxxxx's appl for PR on Jan 27
2. We started processing xxxxx's appl on March 22
3. Medical results have been received

So far there has been no additional communication between colombo visa office and my spouse in Colombo.

I do have UCI number as I received AOR1 which I can use as reference. But, my spouse in Colombo (main applicant) has not received AOR2 or any correspondence that would give UCI number.

How do I send the info I stated above in both cases in general and for my spouse in particular as she has not received UCI number.

Do a "case-specific enquiry" to inform the High Commission in Colombo.

Can I send my change of info to colombo as well or to Mississauga cic?

Use the File Number if you have one. If you do not have a file number, contact CIC in Canada.

did you have to translate it into English before sending it?

Because i submited my addition document on feb 28. Still no response from colombo visa office

Oh ok that's good. I'm planning to do the same. It should give you an idea of what's happening. It's been a month since you ordered and you havent received it yet?
I have a question about the police clearance...how did you get more than one Sri Lankan address on your clearance?
We asked them but they said can only put current address

yes i ordered gcms notes it almost a month now and the due date they said is may 5th so expecting soon.

And i am not sure about the clearance because for me I lived in one address so far so in my clearance it shows as one address but i saw few peoples met in police headquatar they had many address on clearance so upto my knowledge they can add more address in one clearance. Please check with others too

Yes I did translate and was certified by notary public. Afterwards attached along with original photo copy of Id and submitted.

Today i attended the Planning for canada session organised by the IOM. It was very informative and i recommend all to attend it.

Further i met an guy who applied on the last week of september 2015 and received visa on february 2016

So it looks like the colombo visa office has speedup their processing time

also another girl who applied on december was there in the session and she informed me that now the visa processing time is around 6 months and so we can expect to receive visa sooner. is it true
