College Student Visa from Pakistan-International College of Manitoba Query

Hello I applied for study permit on 12th october and showed them 12.5 million pak rupees for financial etc. Got a strong SOP how long can i expect to get Visa coz I hear that college applicants Visa's are delayed alot. Classes start Jan 2014. Also anyone who is college applicant and got their Visa rejected please tell me the reasons CIC gave you for rejection.

I asked my college's marketing adviser about CHC delaying college student Visas and he replied me with this:

"If you do not get your visa in time to start the January session we will automatically defer your intake to May. For the September intake many of our students were getting their visas in 8 weeks or less. Because as an ICM student you are actually working towards a 4-year university degree the CHC considers you a University student."

So what do you think does he have a point?

ur profile is strong i wud aviose u pay first year fee upfront and attach the receipt with visa documents. Also leave a a diploma and go for a bachlors degree u cn chng ur course later wen u get to canada.
