My husband is sponsoring me for PR, inland. The process should be over in four-five months, fingers crossed. And...we are expecting a baby in late summer. I want to know if having gotten my PR through his sponsorship would affect my ability to collect EI for maternity leave. I have been working full time in Canada for the last 2.5 years, and would have been eligible for EI on my previous status, the work permit.
