Hi,

I am on a closed work permit expiring in October 2015.
I shall create an express entry profile with an expected score of around 477. Profile is pending as my ECA is pending.

Do you think it will be easy to get the work permit extended? What is the maximum time for which the work permit can be extended?

What chances of ITA with that score and by when?

Are you doing job?
If yes, Is it full time and permanent?
If yes, How much hourly you get is it above the minimum wage-- I think its should be more than 28$ per hour
If yes, Are you on LMO/LMIA?

Let me know your answer first

Yes I am workin in Canada under a closed work permit expiring October 2015. It is full time and permanent (obviously till work permit expiry)
Hourly wage is more than CAD 28
Work permit is LMIA exempt

You have about 7 months to enjoy lol. On a serious note, get your employer to apply for LMIA for you

My employer has refused for LMIA....cant the work permit be extended?

1. Ask your employer if they will sponsor you for PNP atleast
2. Else start searching for another employer who would offer you with LMIA backed position.
3. Don't remain confined to your current location/province. Be ready to move to places where there is serious shortage of workers. The it will be easier to negotiate with employers.

I hope these seven months prove fruitful to you.

The same here. even I asked my employer. they are so lazy to spend time and money. I am leaving even I have visa till 2017 due to family reasons. try your best. maximum you can extend your permit to 4 years continuously then 1 year gap should be there.
