I have a real quick question, not able to find any suitable documentation on this.
I am a closed work permit holder work permit valid until 12/2023. I sponsored my spouse & now my spouse got her 18months of open work extension due to the recent opt in measure from IRCC. And now she has her open work permit until 06/2025 (18 months more than my closed work permit).
I want to check, If I am eligible and can apply for an Open work permit until 12/25 based on my spouse open work permit. she is currently not Working. But I am working FT and I want to go on open work permit. Has anyone done/processed such extension or have any thoughts?
I am getting confused because IMM 5710e does not give proper options. Most likely I need to select option 2 from below List :
1 Apply for WORK PERMIT with Same Employer
2 Apply for new work permit or with a new Employer
