Hi, I came to Canada, as part of an intra company transfer, in March 2020, on a closed work permit valid till Sep 2021. Since this was an intra company transfer, the role was LMIA exempt.
I was laid off in May 2020, due to covid cost cutting. I am still in Canada. The company, now, may be looking at rehiring me. Can I be rehired by the same company, for the same work, at the same position and salary, on the same closed work permit? Or would they have to apply for a new work permit from scratch? Thanks for the guidance.
