Hi. Please anyone else facing unusual delays with closed work permit applications. I applied early November 2023, biometrics completed mid November 2023. Medicals completed late January 2024. Nothing since then. Processing times from my country is estimated at 11 weeks. Sent a web form, got a response last week saying "This application is in queue for processing. Sending multiple messages will not lead to expedited processing".

I read on an SOWP forum that people who applied in January from my country got PPrs in march. Is mine taking longer because it's a closed WP?

What is NOC and stream of spouse? Processing times are estimates when most not all applications are processed.

When I mentioned SOWP I was talking about other people who got theirs quicker, they were SOWP applicants, I'm not.

I already raised a web form. They said application in queue for processing. I haven't completed the PR application yet. The temporary WP application is supposed to enable me to resume work while processing my PR

Ok. So you are in Canada if resuming work? You are licensed?Assume you job offer number, signed form for LMIA exemption and provincial referral letter. Coming through AIP with all these documents may take more time to process.

The application is a temporary WP application for AIP

You may want to try looking at the PNP section of the forum. There may be threads there on this topic. Good luck.

For now the AIP PR application is not an issue. I'm still technically under temporary work permit application.
