US citizen, what happens if I get laid off from my job while in the US at a conference (holding a closed work permit)? Am I able to re-enter Canada with that closed work permit? I'm in the PR Express Entry pipeline and am a Canadian resident, so I want to be able to return to my house and either wait out the PR processing time or try to find another job (closed work permit) from within Canada.
Closed temporary work permit -> fired -> re-enter Canada?
