Client id on old visa

I was issued a canadian visitors visa in 2003, please say where I can find the client id on the visa. (If possible).
If it can't be found on the visa, what are my options to know what is my client id?

hi you can seen your Clint id under the red numbered in your visitor records given by visa officer at port of entry. it it 10 digit number start from one english letter

But on the new application form it says that the number is in the format xxxx-xxxx.
This is an 8 digit number, so do i have to drop some digits from the 10 digit number (if so, then which)
