Classes starting Jan 9th, study permit might come late

I had applied for my study permit online with in Canada on October, I called the call centre and they said they are processing application received in September. My classes start Jan 9th I dont think I will have my permit before that, could I start classes or do I need to wait till I get it

Hi,

It's against law/rules to attend classes without first having a valid study permit. Without a valid study permit, your school shall not register you for any course.

but I was able to register for my classes online and even got my time table. What if my classes start and I dont get my study permit in time

The same thing happen with me during Fall 2011 when my visa was under processing for over 130 days and my school (it's a MBA course) registered me for August classes even when I paid/deposited nothing. After 1 month, around 2nd week of September my registration was out of order for want of study permit.

Can anyone help me with answering this question:

My beginning of classes is on 1th Jan 2018 and now I am apply for Visa (study permit), however, maybe 1 month later following applying to visa, I will differ my admission to May 2018 because of a personal problem.
So, can I go 4 month latter to Canada although I get my visa around end of this December?
Is it possible? Can I enter to Canada with 4 month delay?

Hello, I am on same page. You got any update on your question?? If I get visa now in Jan can I just travel Canada with same for may intake and apply for extension from inside Canada.??
