15 October and submitted all requested documents after that including medicals by Dec 6 as requested.

My passport has been dispatched guys! No medical requested, no approval mail, I got rejected. Let's see on what basis after I get the passport :'(

I have the same problem. School starts today and nobody has responded. I sent my application on the 30th of October and though the 'supposed' 8 weeks is waaay passed, the response i got from the mail i sent was just 'u are in queue and you will be informed when a decision is made'... I really must say, the Canadian Embassy seem not to really care so much about its international students and there seem to be no way to contact them except to be told by an answering machine that 'they do not do customer service'....The frustrating part also is they treat applications like a 'shrine' and you don't ask questions nor get updates...'JUST NOTHING'....

I applied on 9th Oct. Already done my medical check but for months now the status just stuck at "waiting for your medical information". I did check with the hospital, they already submitted mid Nov.

Have you had your medical Check-Up?

I hadn't because, upfront medical is not provided in my country and cic didn't ask for it either.
I hope they give you visa soon. Not fair <\3

Finally Wait ends...today passport has been dispatched. Interesting thing is that also got approval mail

Passport Dispatched - 6th Jan today
Class start date- 5th Jan

Btw, did they ask for a deferral letter? Since you received visa way passed your class starting date?

No they didn't ask for deferral letter however my consultant sent extension request today. Waiting for extension mail from college. Actually my class started today 6th Jan....on 5th Jan its just Orientation program.
