Clarifications for some questions in the Residence Questionnaire (RQ)

A pleasant Day,

I took a month vacation back to the country of my birth. My acquaintances told me that I may receive a Residence Questionnaire about this regardless of the number of times and duration. This made me anxious. In addition, an acquaintance told me a particular question under the residence questionnaire that I am not sure how to respond.

The question is: Do you work, study or live in any country other than Canada? If I took a month vacation (30 days), is that counted as a "live?" I'm not sure how does this question is addressed. I'm not sure if vacation counts as a "live."

If that's the case, do I have to indicate the addresses during my vacations outside Canada in question Where have you lived since your arrival in Canada?

I will very much appreciate if someone will respond my questions in detail. I hope everyone will have a great day. By the way, I also searched other threads relating to residence questionnaire. Unfortunately, there's no topic that will answer the questions above.

A 30 days vacation does not necessarily trigger an RQ.

No. 30 day vacation is other country does not count as residing in that country.

No. You don't have to mention the foreign address if you just went there for a vacation.

If you have boarding pass, save that as evidence. The stamps on your passport is also an evidence. If you have neither of those, you could request a copy of CBSA Traveler Record. Keep in mind that provides a record of entry but not exit. You can provide a copy of itinerary or other supporting documents like credit card statements.

There is no definite guidelines regarding a possession of a temporary residence permit. A student visa is technically a temporary resident permit. Likely yes, CIC officer can issue an RQ if he or she feels that the applicant does not have stronger connection or base in Canada.

I am new here. I had my citizenship test on june 13th at scarborough and they handed me to fill a RQ. I have submitted it but was wondering if anyone has been given this form and how does this affect my file?
Any feedback is highly appreciated.
