LANDED..........

Hello! It has been a long time since I was active here, but I am now back in preparation for my citizenship application. :)

I am seeking guidance on whether a PCC is required for my situation, as well as how my residence should be listed for these purposes.

Prior to becoming a PR, I was living in the US.
Feb 2019 - Completed my landing, officially became a PR
Mar 2019 - Returned to the US to continue working
Jul 2019 - Spent one week in Canada, then returned to the US
Sep 2019 - Left my job in the US and moved all my possessions to Canada, permanently

Accordingly, I will be eligible for citizenship sometime in September of this year, but I will not be applying until October. That means that my 4-year period will span back to October of 2018. After landing and becoming a PR in Feb 2019, I was not in the US for more than 183 continuous days; however, I would say I was "residing" in the US for the period of March to September 2019 (a period greater than 183 days), as I had not permanently moved to Canada yet, but that I also took a trip to Canada in the middle of this time, breaking it up into periods of less than 183 days. This is the main source of my confusion.

Some additional information:
  • My PR card address given in Feb 2019 is the same place that I moved to when I moved to Canada permanently in September 2019.
  • I believe my 2019 taxes use my permanent move date in September of 2019 as the start of my Canadian residence.
  • I did submit a PCC with my PR application in 2018; however, I continued to live in the US from the time I received my CoPR (July/August 2019) to the time I landed (Feb 2019).
