Clarification on Documents Required for Online Study Permit Application

Hello Seniors of the forum,

I have received the acceptance from a college and I am soon going to submit my Student Visa application. I was researching and learned that the list of documents when the application is submitted online is different to the list of documents which are supposed to be submitted in person at a VFS.

I am keen on applying via online application and below is the list of documents I was notified to upload by the online system:

Letter of Acceptance
Digital Photo
Passport or travel document
Application for Study Permit Made Outside of Canada (IMM1294)
Family Information (IMM5645)
Proof of Means of Financial Support
Proof of Medical Exam

However, below documents (which are present in the checklist of paper based) are not requested by the online portal. But I read on many blogs and forums that these are to be submitted anyway.The documents are:

IELTS test results
Other educational certificates (including mark sheets)

My questions are:
1. Am I still suppose to submit IELTS and other education
2. If yes, under which section should I upload them?
3. Are all the documents which are to be uploaded to be notarized?

Submit your ielts and education documents in letter of explanation section. Make a pdf file and it must not be more than 4mb.

Here is what I plan to add in letter of explanation:
1. Letter of explanation (3 Page)
2. Resume (1 page)
3. Educational Documents (9 Pages)
4. IELTS (1 Page)
5. Experience Letters (2 Pages)
