Background:
I was on work-permit from July/2007 with a tech company X which was valid from July/2007-July/2010. I lost my job in Jan/2009 and was able to get job back in Jun/2010 and since then I was continuously employed.

I became a PR in July/2016.

During this period of about 10+ yrs, I traveled to my home country 5 times (4 before PR and 1 trip after becoming PR) lasting NOT more than 3 weeks in each trip.

Now I have the eligibility to apply for citizenship and I have few questions below in citizenship form 9(a) and 9(b) and 9(c) which I feel are confusing

Questions:
[1] On 9(a) - "Enter the dates from your calculator here. Your eligibility period is ----- to ------ "
Should I have to fill in from July/2007 or from 2 years before my PR date (July/2016) where I would like to take credit for my stay in Canada as "worker"

[2] On 9(b) -
What is the difference between "worker" and "temporary resident permit holder" ? I had "temporary resident visa) when I was worker.

[3] On 9(c) - "During the eligibility period did you live outside Canada" ?
During my eligibility period, I was out of Canada on vacation visiting my home country to see my parents for about 3 weeks. Is it considered as living outside Canada, as I never lived for more than 6 months outside Canada during the said period.

Appreciate your help? Thanks a lot.

1. You fill in the dates going back exactly 5 years from the date you will sign the application. If you are filling it in/signing it today, your eligibilty is from 10/8/13 to 10/8/18. Are you sure you meet the qualifications in this instance since you can only claim up to a maximum of 1 year prior to PR?

2. You were a worker. The differences are moot. One is for a worker, the other is for a non worker.

3. You didn't live outside Canada, you were on vacation answer no.
