clarification for proof of funds

Hi, Could anyone guide me regarding proof of funds:
when should you have the funds? at the time of applying for express entry or provincial nomination? is it necessary to keep them for 6 months in your account? what type of assets are acceptable e.g. can I show my car as an asset?

proof of funds is not required at express entry stage, you only have to declare at that time for sufficient funds you have available with you.......for one person, it is around 12 ks CAD...........

however after invitation, while applying you have to show funds, 6 months statement is enough, however balance should be there in the begining of statement, otherwise suddenly heavy input transaction in the middle of statement would suggest that you borrowed money from someone for this proof................its my opinion..........wait for other seniors to reply on statement length
