Just wondering if I should claim the Spousal Amount on my return (and whether we should bother filing a tax return for my wife). My wife arrived in 2018 on a TRV, we got married, and applied for PR inland. She's got no 2018 income but does have a (temporary) SIN from OWP... Am I eligible to claim the spousal amount in this case or is it only valid to do so once she has actually received her PR?
